A Sarah Funny

As I was getting Sarah dressed this morning, she kept saying "Potty" and fiddling with something in between her fingers.

I thought she was just teasing me that she wanted to go potty and then pee in her training pants either moments before or after I get her panties on or off.

Then I saw this.

What does it look like to you?

I thought so.

It is actually a miniscule piece off of a clip-on earring or something.

Nothing gets by that little chickadee.

Now if she'd actually use it.

The regular sized one, of course.

P.S. nice photography skills, huh? super-macro, baby!

This is the true size of the "potty." See the normal-sized mouse? That itty bitty speck next to it is the aforementioned commode. Now you think I am an amazing super-macro photog, right?

That is too funny! I remember once when big Lauren got a little people doll house for christmas. She had just pottytrained. She looked at the tiny little potty and stated smiling! Then she proceeded to pull down her pants so she could squat on the little teeny potty and do her business. Had to put a stop to that, but funny none the less!

Children never fail to amaze. I love it! That is the tiniest little thing. It reminds me of how when my Sarah was little, she used to write and draw the tiniest little marks ever. She would work away for a while and then bring me something that was about 1 cm square. Not only would I say, "What is that, sweetheart?" but I'd also want to get a magnifying glass to be able to see the detail. Oh, those minds!
Happy Easter to you! I'm in the mad-packing, laundering, cleaning-up, pre-trip planning mode as we leave tomorrow morning to go to Phoenix. What I really would love right now is a NAP! So I was thinking yesterday that maybe during the trip I can call you (if it's not such loud mayhem that I can't carry on a conversation or if we go through an area that has cell reception!) :) Much love and many happy thoughts your way!

When Jane (now 7) was potty training, I once walked into her bedroom just in time to catch her in the act of squatting on the carpet and . . .

No!

Yes.

When I got closer, I found that she was squatting over her tiny plastic dollhouse potty.

You are such a fun mom! (And by the way, I AM impressed with your macro skills!)

Sorry the potty training is rough. Laura absolutely loves to say "Pee pee toilet! Pee pee toilet!" over and over again. But whenever I ask, "Do you want to go pee pee on the toilet?" she vehemently declares, "NO!"
I don't get it.
