The book club

So, I joined one.

No brainer for someone like me, right?

I read books ALL the time. I can't even eat breakfast without some reading material.

The first book is The Count of Monte Cristo.

I remember reading this OVER and OVER in jr high/high school. I must have LOVED it.

I went to the library to check it out yesterday, and I almost fell over when I saw it. It is probably 8 inches thick. I'm not even kidding. I must have read for a couple hours last night and only made it to 147. Not even an inch. Maybe a quarter of an inch. Ack!

I only have until the 24th of this month to finish. Did I really read this book over and over? That must have been in my other life--the one with no responsibilities.

Wish me luck!

I've never really been a reader of fiction, but I too joined a book club last year and love it. Sometimes the dust piles up and the kids eat sandwiches for dinner. So enjoy! The dust will be there tomorrow.

My bookclub just had our first night on Tuesday! It was so much fun. We read "The Memory Keeper's Daughter". It made for a great discussion. And who am I to balk at an evening away with adult conversation about someone elses's life which is worse than my own! LOL! Have fun and happy reading!

Oh, by the way, I am thinking about visiting my mom during the kids Easter break (Mar 28 - Apr 4). She lives in Roy. Are you guys going to be in town and are you interested in getting together?

awesome!! Books are a staple for survival I think! Is it a group with your ward or just one you found? I have never read that one- maybe I will have to go for a library visit.
